We had a great start to the year when 14 cars turned out for our January drive starting at Topaz Frankfield and travelling to Midleton, Dungourney, and on to Tallow and Lismore in Co Waterford.

We travelled along the banks of the beautiful River Blackwater to Ballyduff and on to the new Campus Service Station in Fermoy for a late breakfast. As some cars were off the road for the winter we had a few interesting replacements. A 400 bhp Sierra Cosworth replacing a 3.6 of Pat Cunningham, a Renault Megane R26R replacing a 911SC of Denis Lawlor and a Honda Civic of Andy Lambert replacing a 996C4S.

The weather was a beautiful and it was a great driving day and everybody enjoyed the outing.

I gave brief outline of the events for the next few months and it is my intention to have a different activity every month with a historic Castle and Car Collection visit, Technical / Valet Day, Ex world rally car collection visit, Joint drive with Kinsale Classic Car club, Dent Doctor Day mixed in with some interesting scenic drives. More details will appear in the formal list of events on our Club Website.

Big thanks to everybody and we look forward to a very busy year ahead.
