Antrim & Down
Following on from last year’s successful event in the South West, run over some of the great stages used by the Circuit of Ireland Rally, the 2016 edition sees PCI head to the North East of the country to enjoy the fantastic roads of counties Antrim and Down.
The event starts just north of Belfast on the Saturday morning, taking in such classic stages as Glenoe, The Mare’s Tail, Glendun and Torr Head, visiting the Glens of Antrim, the Antrim Coast Road and the North Coast, before returning via Dundrod to our 4 Star hotel, just south of Belfast, where we have arranged an evening meal. Sunday morning sees the cars gather in Comber to run through the lanes and byways of County Down, taking in Strangford Lough, the Mourne Mountains and Carlingford Lough, with Circuit favourites, Strangford, Bohill, Hamilton’s Folly and Spelga Pass on the way, before we have one final spectacular stage that will deliver us to the outskirts of Dundalk at lunchtime.
The roads are less bumpy than those in Kerry and West Cork, and the scenery just as breath taking.
We have struck a great deal with the hotel for the Saturday night, to include B&B
