With less than three weeks to go, its time to get those entries in to one of the best days out you will have for a while!
The Drive For Life fundraising event is on again on Sunday 8th September.
Run through the auspices of the Historic Rally Association (HRA), this Cams approved event follows a very successful inaugural event last year.
This year's run will continue the high standard of drivable roads and "interesting" questions along the way. Then there is the lunch at the end of the drive, where you can socialise and find out whether you completed the course along the correct route, and answered all the questions in the required manner. Its a fun day out, with some great roads and great company!
Entry to the event is via the website www.driveforlife.net.au. Entry is by Tax Deductible donation of $100 which goes to the Australian Suicide Prevention Foundation to continue their work in assisting in this very worthy cause.
All road registered cars are able to enter as it is a non-competitive, open road event. Somewhat reminiscent of the traditional "treasure hunt" but with a few quirky twists!
Whether old or new, any car is catered for with the route instructions available in either km or miles format.
Time is running out, so get your entries in now. If you can't make it yourself, let others know who may be interested in having a great day out.
I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Ian Young, Chaplain to Motorsport
