For our first 2022 event, we are back to supporting our Country Pubs!   Last year we had a great meal here and despite Omicron, we are still planning to revisit this historic hotel.  Nelsonians and Blenheimers will drive by the obvious and not very secret routes to Havelock, meeting there at 1200.  From there, we will drive over the hill via Queen Charlotte Drive to Linkwater. and our lunch venue, the Queen Charlotte Tavern (1162 Queen Charlotte Drive).  We are expected around 12:30 -1:00pm.

The Tavern was formerly known as the Linkwater Hotel, but it is under new management and now has a 4.5 star rating on Trip Advisor.  There are plenty of outdoor tables if it is a sunny day, and a nice indoor bar area beside the main Hotel if it is a bit grey.

Nelsonians will meet at the Peace Grove Rest stop on SH 6 (500m north of the Trafalgar St roundabout) at 1045 for a 1100hrs departure toward Havelock. Our meeting place will be the Slip Inn Cafe at the Havelock Marina.

Blenheimites will meet at the CorknKeg in Renwick at 1115 for 1130 departure.  Our route will be the obvious one via SH 6 to the Slip Inn, and from there we will all head over to Queen Charlotte Drive.

What you need to bring: $$ for lunch and a Vaccination Certificate for each participant.
