Hello all my fellow Porsche owners, and welcome to the start of activities for 2010. Porsche Club Ireland annual dinner is being held at Park Hotel Dungarvan on saturday 27th March . If you wish to book, please contact the hotel direct at 058 42899 and mention the Porsche Club.

A drive will take place mid morning on saturday and also on sunday. The roads in Waterford are the best in then country and we will look forward to meeting you all there. Any owner who has not paid their club subscription or anybody who has never been a member are all welcome and you can pay your subscription on arrival. It promises to be a great weekend so please try to attend and get to meet people who have the same pasion as yourselves.

Following on from the annual dinner a visit is being arranged to the Automotive Engineering Dept of CIT where Dr Keith Mc Mullen will give us a tour of the facilities and will put a number of cars on the rolling road and measure their BHP and Torque.

A visit is also being arranged to the new Independant Porsche Service Centre in Cork where we will see the latest diagnostic equipment demonstrated.

A valeting session and other body maintenance services is also being planned.

The 1st Porsche Club track day is running on Good Friday at Mondello Park check-in is at 11.30am and the event is being run on the International Track. This is always a wonderfull event and is the ideal event to give you steed its 1st serious run after its winter sleepover. Members can invite trusted friends to attend Mondello with other makes of cars. Over the years we have had a great selection of other high performance cars running alongside our own cars.

The 21st Kinsale International Classic Rally is being held on Sat 8th and Sun 9th May and Porsche Club Ireland members with cars 25 years and over are welcome to enter. This one of the best events on the rally calender.

This is just a flavour of things to come for 2010 and I hope we can make 2010 a year to remember.

On St Patricks night a documentary on The Porsche Assembly plant in Stuttgart is being shown on satellite station no 477 at 9pm. This is what we have seen on our factory tour and is a programme you should not miss.

As the event dates are finalised I will be in contact you and give plenty advance notice.
