PRESIDENT’S DAY AT SANDOWN

Sunday 3 November

President's Day will again be at Sandown this year, where the close proximity to the city will hopefully encourage many passengers to come and enjoy the excitement of riding in competition cars. A great opportunity to showcase the Club and the marque, and provide the ultimate passenger experience to our sponsors, friends and family.

A meeting point will be setup to link up passengers seeking a run with available drivers.

There will be a number of vendors set up behind the garages providing food and coffee during the day.

At 4.30pm, to mark the end of the Competition year, please accept an invitation to join our President and the Committee for a glass of wine and canapés in pit lane.

Entrants: Please read the Supplementary Regulations carefully and make sure you understand the changes from a normal sprint day. The paramount objective is to share our passion for these vehicles in a safe environment. Only cars that have two seats in them and can carry passengers will be accepted.

Please Note: Safety is our primary concern on President’s Day when we have passengers travelling with a mix of drivers and cars with varying capabilities occupying the track at the one time.

Entries will not be accepted from inexperienced drivers for Presidents Day unless they can produce evidence of satisfactorily completing a high performance driving courses from recognised driving training establishments and a CAMS licence. It will be entirely at the discretion of the Competition Committee to make judgements on driver’s capability and accept entries. Any entries rejected on the basis of insufficient experience will be notified immediately.

Entree class is not provided at President's Day.

EACH ENTRANT MUST SHOW THE SCRUTINEER TWO APPROVED CRASH HELMETS FOR USE ON THE DAY. No helmets are available for hire from the Club but can be hired through Garner’s Hire Bikes in North Melbourne Ph 9326 8676.

Drivers please note the 75 dB(A) noise limit. Make sure your CAMS or AASA licence is current and you are a financial member of the Club. The gate to the pits will be open from 7:00am.

Run of Day: As in past years, the morning runs will be in allocated groups. After lunch if there are insufficent cars in the groups for efficent operation, the format will switch to an open pit arrangement to maximise the ability of the club to get passengers onto the track. Cars will therefore be released from pit lane onto the track to maintain safe track density and vehicle separation.

Runs will finish at 4:00pm.

Entry Fee $230 (Or $220 with own car numbers).

Entries that are withdrawn by the entrant before the Monday 28 October will forfeit half of the entry fee paid. No reimbursement of entry fee is to be made for entrants who withdraw after 28 October.

Please read the Supplementary Regulations here, as they contain specific items for President's Day.
