OCTOBER CLUB NIGHT (following the AGM)

“Something For Everyone!”

Australian of the Year 2015 Nominee + Behind the scenes of film & television + Porsche art

Each year the October Club Night includes the Club’s Annual General Meeting. We’ll begin a little earlier than usual with the Meeting at 6.30pm, to allow plenty of time for our other activities. The AGM is an important event for of our club, one that gives you (the members) an insight into the running of your club.

From 7.00pm we’ll commence our Club Night programme, offering a finger food menu and beverages (including bubbles!). Our three brief presentations cover a wide variety of topics, so there’s sure to be something of interest for everyone.

Boris Struk is the founder and Executive Director of Muscular Dystrophy Australia (MDA), and a nominee for two prestigious awards in 2015 - The Australian of the Year and Australia’s Local Hero. Boris will share his story where for three decades he’s pooled all his resources into finding a cure for muscular ¬dystrophy following his son Ryan’s diagnosis with the condition. MDA has since raised $43 million for research and support services. Boris will also share his love of cars with us and inform us of an upcoming fundraising initiative aimed at motoring enthusiasts.

Vickie Morris is a proud owner of a 964 RS and joined PCV earlier this year. She’s already made the most of her membership by enjoying numerous aspects and activities of our Club. As a professional make-up artist and hair stylist Vickie has worked on many film and television projects. Vickie will give us all a brief inside into the industry and what goes on behind the scenes, including a demonstration that will interest men and women. She’ll also be available for a separate Q & A with the ladies on makeup tips and queries.

Also on display will be a wonderfully unique piece of art featuring the interior of a Porsche 356 by Robyn Riley. We'll introduce Robyn and query her on how and why this artwork came about.

In addition, there will be the usual opportunities to enjoy the hospitality of Porsche Centre Melbourne, catch up with friends, meet new members and hear about competition results, social news and forthcoming events.

So men & women of the PCV come along and enjoy the final Club Night for 2014. Please ensure to register for this event via our club kiosk to assist with catering.
