Club Spring Run to Macedon

Sunday 13th October 2013

The spring run will use as always back and quiet roads where possible and will take Porsche club members on a memorable drive via Trentham and Glenlyon to the outskirts of Daylesford, then over to Newstead CFA where we’re told they are looking forward to our visit. The hospitality and abundant homestyle morning tea with a CFA is a highlight of the Club runs.

After morning tea we will again enjoy some great roads and some navigation via Chewton and Kyneton to Mt Macedon and back towards Woodend. Approx 200k's all up that will keep both the driver and navigator busy at times.

Our luncheon destination is The Macedon Spa complex which lies at the gateway to the beautiful Macedon Ranges in central Victoria and offers some of the most stunning views in Victoria.

Lunch will be served in the Macedon Views Restaurant, which features wall to wall hardwood and massive windows built to take advantage of the superb 180 degree views from Mt Macedon to the Melbourne CBD. The view is always different whether the sky is clear and bright blue or low clouds drape themselves across the mountain.

Lunch will be a 3 course buffet offering many options including roast, seafood, soup and dessert. Drinks inc tea and coffee at bar prices to own account on the day.

Return to Melbourne will be easy, with Macedon Spa only 45 mins from the CBD.
