Club Spring Run to Forest Edge, Gembrook

The spring run will take a wide and diverse look at the well sculptured roads of the Dandenong hinterland.

After meeting at the Hallam Hungry Jacks we will head up through Belgrave into steep and curved fern lined glades, the wide vistas of the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road and a number of the hilltop and hinterland villages. Morning tea is at the Macclesfield CFA where we’re told they are looking forward to our visit. The hospitality and abundant homestyle morning tea with a CFA is a highlight of the Club runs.

After morning tea we will again enjoy some great roads with the wide sweeping curves of the grazing and fruit country in a run up to Healesville, topped off by the 8km of the Donna Buang climb before finishing at Forest Edge for a relaxed lunch, good company amid another elegant vista.

The cost includes a glass of wine or beer on arrival, with further drinks inc tea and coffee at bar prices to own account on the day.

Return to Melbourne will be easy, with a choice of three routes bringing members back to the Eastlink or Monash within 40 minutes.
