PCNSW Concours at The Armory, Sydney Olympic Park. Sponsored by Exclusive Bodywerks
Our 2011 Concours will be held at the Newington Armory, Newington (Sydney Olympic Park) on Sunday 30th October. It was huge last year and will be bigger and better than ever in 2011. There will be a stunning collection of Porsches on display, an on-stage band, a Club Members hospitality marquee, food, good coffee and drinks on sale , sponsor displays and raffles held throughout the day – all in a picnic environment. Master Class, Concours and Wash & Polish entrants will receive a Goodies Bag from Exclusive Body Werks and Meguiars, a Concours 2011 sticker, and photo of your car.
This year we will again have a Porsche Only Display / Treffen category. Cars in this group will not be judged but will be officially parked in the dispay area. All Porsches entered into this category will be able to park within the Armory precinct. Non Porsches and Porsches that are not entered must park outside in the public car park.
[Treffen is a German word meaning meeting or gathering, lets make this the largest gathering of Porsches ever seen in Sydney] If you plan to offer your car for sale on the day please enter it in Display /Treffen and these cars will be displayed in a separate section.
There will be a reserved section for members Porsche Cars for sale and trade stands dealing with all things “Porsche. We are also planning a special section for Porsche Club NSW competition cars.
Give your Porsche a special spring clean and come and join us. And bring your family and friends. Gates open at 7.30am, and judging commences at 9.30am. There will be a People’s Choice Award (where you get to be the judge). All place winners and place getters will be announced on the day and trophies presented.
Make sure you bring the whole family along to this fantastic river side location for what is always a very special event. Even if the car is not pristine, bring it along and display it in the newly formed Treffen area. If you have a Club race car enter in the Treffen Race Car Category. These cars are sure to generate a lot of interest.

Entry of Porsche vehicles to the display area will only be available to cars that have been officially entered into any of the four classes, using the booking links on this page. All other visitors including PCNSW members who have not entered their cars must park [including Porsche vehicles] in the public carpark outside The Armory precinct. This is a requirement of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority. A strict speed limit of 5kmph. applies to all roads within The Armory, this will be monitored by park rangers and event officals.
Newington Armory is a special place - formerly the Royal Australian Naval Armament Depot (RANAD), it features over 100 heritage buildings of various ages and types, set amidst a 52 hectare riverside landscape of undulating hills and woodlands.
The heritage buildings provide the Armory with a unique character, which is described through an award-winning heritage interpretation program, that can be viewed at the original 1897 gate house.
Location and Access
Glass wall interpretive at Newington ArmorySituated between the southern bank of the Parramatta River and the suburb of Newington - the former Olympic Village, the site is a restricted area with limited public access. You can 'Explore the Armory' by foot or bike every weekend between 10am and 4pm.
If driving, Newington Armory can be accessed via Jamieson Street (off Holker Street). If on foot or bike, it can be accessed from the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf or Silverwater is via a pleasant and easy walk/ride along The River Walk. From Hill road take the Louise Savage pathway.
