Porsche Clubs at Bathurst
Dear Members,
Further to my earlier advice... I am now delighted to be able to confirm what promises to be our most memorable – and potentially over subscribed event - Porsche Clubs at Bathurst.
As you will see from the attached brochures, this event has been designed to cater for everyone - from those who are raring to hop into their Porsche and have a go at the world renowned Mt. Panorama circuit, to those who want to ease into the experience with a thoroughly stimulating and enjoyable, but less demanding, Show 'n Shine and Observation run around the lovely hills of Bathurst and its surrounds.
And, most importantly, being a ‘national’ Porsche Club event, we have ensured that this special mini-break will provide everyone with an opportunity to socialise with fellow club members from across Australia.
Closer to the event, we will also provide those joining us with a list of local points of interest in the Bathurst and Blue Mountains regions, as well as the great roads that will take you there.
Because this opportunity to drive the Mt. Panorama circuit has presented itself so close to the event date, Porsche Cars Australia has kindly offered to handle the majority of the administrative functions to ensure the load does not fall on any individual Club.
You will also see from the attached brochures that the 6-Hour Mountain Relay is a regularity style event and is being run under the guidance and authority of the Festival of Sporting Cars (FoSC). Please note that competitors will be required to have some track experience or driver training experience on a race track in order to compete in the Mountain Relay.
The regularity will be run in conjunction with other motorsport enthusiasts, so the Relay day itself will not be exclusively Porsches. We will, however, be presenting trophies to Porsche drivers on an Individual, Team and State basis.
